are young men and children. They are workers, rickshaw drivers, and beggars.
From
over 800 Bollywood productions made every year, only 30 to 40 are shown outside
India. The rest are small productions made in small studios with little money
and basic equipment. The audience of those films are mostly the middle class
and the poor people of India. Cinema is the major entertainment, especially
among the really poor, providing for a few rupees some escape for the grind
of urban life.
