There is a mass everyday for the inmates in the prison’s chapel, each day hosted for a different religious congregation. The women tell of how they feel supported by the religious counsellors that come to help them with regular support sessions. For many, their faith in Jesus and God seems to keep them alive and many inmates convert to Evangelism whilst in prison. The most popular congregation is the Universal church, which is extremely widespread in the whole of Brazil.
