Since the creation of the French Federation of Naturism by Albert Lecocq in 1950, this practise has been carving out an increasingly important place in a still prudish society, in spite of the events of May 1968.


For the general public, naturists are frequently regarded as eccentrics or exhibitionists, and sometimes even as perverts, although, for them, being naked is a philosophy.
