With each family sharing a single room for all their needs conditions are very cramped.Most of the adults in Mansion Mazahua are first generation migrants who left their village San Antonio Pueblo Neuvo, 125 miles west of Mexico City, to come in search of a livelihood. Many of the women living in Mansion Mazahua are related and maintain strong ties with the family members who stayed behind and who rely on money sent back from the city for their survival.
